Stephen James Smith was the Cúirt Literay Festival Grand Slam Poetry Champion '09, fending off some of the best the poetry scene in Ireland had to offer at The Róisín Dubh in Galway.
He runs a weekly music & poetry (Monday) night called The Glór Sessions in The International Bar in Dublin (Glór is Irish for voice, sound or noise) which has hosted many famous folks over the years..He will be publishing his first book, 'Pretending to be Happy?' with Maverick Press in the near future...

A native of Forkhill, Co. Armagh, Paula Flynn grew up listening to the country, folk and bluegrass records that she found at home. Singing came naturally and she spent her teenage years winning talent competitions and sharing stages with iconic Irish figures like Joe Dolan. In the intervening years the voice has been put to good use accompanying agit-folk anti-hero Jinx Lennon in gigs at home and abroad as well as in the studio.
